Mobile Massage has become a huge part of the massage industry, the benefit of having a massage in the comfort of your own home and not having to drive is beneficial to a wide market, from new moms to busy executives, mobile massage when it is done right is an excellent service and growing in popularity.

What does a mobile massage cost?

Mobile massages will range from company to company, click here to get an idea of our mobile massage costing. Costs of massage treatments range but are always based on time, though full day packages are available, having a massage at home is most commonly booked in a 45, 60 or 90 minute session.  Travel rates are included in the total price but will vary if the therapist travels more than 30km from our set points; Oaklands in Johannesburg and Lansdowne in Cape Town.

Some massage providers have a large menu of massages on offer, at Sheer Bliss we fashion our massages in a “build your massage” style, you can choose the time of your massage and then add on extra services such as Hot Stones, Calabash, Indian Head massage and Manicures or Pedicures.  These treatments add an additional R50 to R120 per extra.

How does it work?

Therapists are kitted out with everything required to spoil and indulge you at home, we bring along our portable massage bed, linen, decor, music and oil warmers to set the scene as well as electric blankets in winter and we also include a box of delicious fudge with every treatment. Your therapist will arrive a little before your scheduled time to set up and consult with you on your personal requirements and expectations of your massage sessions.  The massage is performed and she will pack up and leave.

How far in advance must I book?

We do try our best to offer a same day service and get it right most of the time, however you are guaranteed a massage within 24 hours of booking. You will need to book your appointment through our office on 0861 MASSAGE (6277-243) or provide us with your physical address and preferred time.  On confirmation an invoice will be sent to you as well as a booking confirmation, please check these details carefully to help the therapist find your address easily.  Our services are available on the Grooma App for quick online booking.

What should I do before my appointment?

In winter we suggest warming a room for around 30 minutes before your appointment is set to start. Dress down in your comfi gear and relax, your only job here is to enjoy the experience! If you have children or pets we suggest getting them into a space where you will not be disturbed during your session.

How can I make payment?

Payment can be made by Snapscan, Eft or Credit Card, we do take cash but prefer electronic payment for the safety of our therapists.

Are after hour appointments available?

Our services are available Monday to Friday from 8h30 to 17h00 and each therapist will take one appointment to end at 19h00 Monday to Thursday. Saturday appointments are available from 8h30 to 15h00 and we are closed on Sundays and Public Holidays.

The benefit of having massage at home is that you don’t have to drive, after a massage it is perfectly normal to feel cold with a drop in blood pressure and because a massage can have a detoxifying effect you can feel groggy and generally relaxed. This service allows you to curl up, crawl onto bed and enjoy a good nap.
