In light of the uncertainty we all face in our daily lives with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we at Sheer Bliss are taking all precautions to ensure the good health of our staff and yours. We are doing our best to practice caution and ensure that we are prepared for all scenarios. Our absolute number one priority is the safety of customers, therapists and their families no matter what happens.
Hygiene is critical
There’s a lot we still don’t know about Coronavirus, but health authorities have been clear that maintaining good hygiene is absolutely critical. This is and always has been a high priority for Sheer Bliss and our standard maintains, we are now taking this a step further by offering gloves to our therapists and masks are available on request.
Our therapists are stocked with hand sanitizer for regular use. In accordance with the regulation from President Cyril Ramaphosa for hand sanitizer, our product is comprised of 0.5% Chlorhexedine Gluconate Solution B.P. in 70% Alcohol emollients.
Our virtual reality head sets have disposable hygiene masks. We have instituted masks to be wiped with alcohol swabs between customers on the plastic of the mask and goggles. Hair nets are available to wear during your massage and all fabric parts of the devices will be washed on a daily basis following events on a high temperature cycle.
While we understand that there is no way to know up front if anyone has been exposed to the virus, we have instituted a zero tolerance on coming to work sick. Should any therapists show any signs of feeling unwell in any way we have asked them to report this to their manager immediately and refrain from coming to work. Any staff that have been exposed to visitors from any high risk countries are asked to self-isolate for a period of 14 days.
All office-based staff are requested to work remotely and any meetings will be held telephonically as well as on video conferencing calls to avoid human contact at this time. All business travel has been put on hold until further notice.
Our stance is that having a massage at home is safer for the community than going into a public space and this supports the notion of social distancing. In this instance we will be screening all requests with a questionnaire and disqualify any customers who have been to a high risk country (China, Iran, USA, Italy, Spain and other high risk countries) within the last two weeks.
Wishing all of our staff and customers a healthy, happy and productive time in the coming weeks and we will certainly do our utmost to keep you informed as the situation evolves.
Remember to call the Covid-19 national hotline on 0800-029-999 if you have any further questions or queries.
